📢 Great News for Contract Teachers in AP Model Schools!
The government of Andhra Pradesh has issued a good order for contract teachers in Model Schools. This order, noted as G.O. Rt No. 186 dated 19.05.2025, means 282 contract faculty members (211 PGTs & 71 TGTs) get more time. They will be working 11 more months!
The Director of School Education sent a proposal. After looking at it, the government agreed. So, the extra work time will be from June 1, 2025, all the way to April 30, 2026. But there’s a catch—a one-month break is part of it because of the “No Work, No Pay” rule.
The government says this helps keep things running smoothly in schools, academically & administratively. This order got the okay from the Finance (HR-II) Department & was released by Sri Kona Sasidhar, Secretary of the Department of School Education.
