🏫A Moving Ahead in the Journey to Strengthen School-Parent Partnership
A circular has been released by Andhra Pradesh School Education Department announcing the celebration of Mega PTM 2.0 in all the Government and Private Management Schools in the state. This effort intends to increase parental involvement, closing learning gaps, and increasing students’ overall educational outcomes.
🔑 Key Highlights of Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting 2.0
📅 Event Date : The Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) scheduled for 5th July 2025 (Saturday).
🏫Coverage: PTM is to be conducted in all Govt/ Private Management Schools.
🎯 Goal: To help create successful conversations between parents and teachers about student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
📌Key recommendations from the Circular
1. Preparation and Planning:
Heads of Schools have to ensure all the staffs are available on PTM day.
Proper seating and exhibit of student academic records shall be done.
2. Parent Communication:
All parents should be informed in advance.
An invitation will be delivered through students and the school message systems.
3. Student Performance Sharing:
Academic performance, attendance, and behavioral observations Teachers will provide reports on each student’s academic performance, attendance, and behavior.
Slow learners and those with poor attendance should be paid special attention.
4. Feedback and Suggestions:
Feedback and suggestions of the parents should be documented.
A brief report on the conduction of the meeting shall be sent by the Mandal Educational Officers or District Education Officers.
5. Monitoring by Officials:
MEOs & DEOs shall visit schools to monitor PTM and will provide the required assistance.
6. Celebration of Achievements:
Students doing well either academically or in the extra curricular activities should be felicitated in front of parents.
