Good news for government schools in Andhra Pradesh!
The State Government has passed an important order that provides a big relief to government educational institutions of the State by taking over their power bills. -Preparing guidelines to the MEOs for verification of Unique Service Connection Numbers of each school in CFMS.
This is an easy but crucial check to guarantee your schools get free electricity with no hiccups!
Why is USC Confirmation Important?
For payments to be transferred to pay for electricity the government must have the USC numbers assigned to each and every school. Confirming these numbers:

No procrastination or insecurity on power compatibility
Provides an optimum learning platform for pupils
Guidelines for MEOs On how to verify USC numbers in CFMS by MEOs
1. Log In to CFMS Portal
Visit: https://cfms.ap.gov.in
Log in with your official MEO access code
Note: This step cannot be done by individual schools. It must be done by the MEO.
2. Get the ‘Free Power’ Tile to Your Dashboard
Once logged in, drag to “Expenditure” section
Click “Workflow Config Bill Submit”
Then select “Applications”
Locate and append Function 85: Free Power USC Number Verification
Save the configuration
Refresh ur CFMS page to get the new tile in ur dashboard
3. Initiate the USC Number Verification Process
Click on the new tile “ Free Power USC Number Confirmation”
You will have to fill in information for each school
4. Enter School Details
DISE Code : Fill in the school’s particular DISE code in the space provided.
USC Number: Enter the service connection number which you will find on the school electricity bill/donation notice meter reading.
Click Submit
5. Verify Submission
On submission, system will show the school name against the entered DISE code
You will receive a success message after the USC number registration has been confirmed
6. Repeat for All Schools
Follow the same process for other government schools in your Mandal
The free power benefit is limited to fully confirmed USC entries only
